Matthew offers a unique and powerful combination for competitive STEM students: the technical precision of a former mechanical and aerospace engineer and the narrative expertise of a seasoned writing mentor. This dual perspective, along with his prior experience as a high school teacher and adjunct professor, allows him to help students translate complex technical interests into compelling, award-winning passion projects, high-level research, and application narratives.
Matthew earned multiple full scholarships before attending Clemson University as a National Scholar, then completing his M.S. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Virginia. He specializes in “project managing” the admissions process—breaking it into structured, manageable steps that build student confidence. Families value his exceptional ability to bridge the gap between technical achievement and creative storytelling, ensuring students stand out at the nation's most selective universities.
