Alan is an educator and mentor with a multidisciplinary background in the sciences. Alan has been tutoring since high school and is known for his individualized approach to teaching, adapting his methods to meet students where they are and helping them build both academic skills and confidence.
He has worked with students across a wide range of academic levels, from leading small-group workshops for elementary students addressing learning gaps to providing individualized academic and career guidance for first-year university students. Alan is especially passionate about hands-on learning and collaborative environments, and he has mentored undergraduates in developing laboratory skills and transitioning into academic research. Across subjects ranging from biological systems to data science and mathematics, he focuses on building both understanding and confidence so students can achieve their long-term academic goals.
