Tawal brings over 15 years of teaching, tutoring, and test prep experience and has helped hundreds of students meet or exceed their target goals and/or test scores. Hailing from the San Francisco Bay Area, education runs in Tawal’s blood, with multiple Heads of Schools and university professors in his family. Over the years, Tawal has taught across various disciplines and international borders, at Ivy League institutions – both at the undergraduate and graduate levels – and, most recently, at private tutoring and test prep companies where he’s worked both in-person and remotely with students across formats – 1-on-1, small groups, and in classrooms.
Tawal is fiercely committed to helping students meet their full potential and realize their educational goals. But more so, Tawal understands that one size does not always fit all. He actively tailors his approach to each student and works with them to identify both strengths to build upon as well as opportunities for growth and learning. And most importantly, he believes that learning is fun, employing diverse strategies and tactics to help students achieve concrete progress, while also enjoying themselves along the way.
